Living with Elephans Tour
The Living with Elephants tour offers an immersive experience in the community bordering the national park, giving visitors a unique look at life alongside Zambia’s incredible wildlife. The journey begins with a performance by the Dambwa Warriors, a traditional group showcasing the local culture through song and dance. Afterward, guests are welcomed into the home of a community elder, where they enjoy a traditional meal and engage in meaningful discussions about the challenges and rewards of coexisting with elephants and other wildlife. As night falls, the tour continues along the park’s fence line, providing the opportunity to observe animals as they interact with the community, bringing to life the delicate balance of human-wildlife coexistence.
CERT Tour
The CERT Tour allows tourists to join the Conservation and Tourism Society’s Elephant Response Team (CERT) for a night of conservation in action. Participants spend the evening patrolling with the CERT team, witnessing firsthand the team’s efforts to protect both wildlife and communities. As they join in safely guiding elephants and other animals back to the park, visitors gain a deep understanding of the challenges involved in managing human-wildlife conflict.
This tour not only highlights the dedication of CERT’s conservation efforts but also offers a unique, hands-on experience that fosters appreciation for Zambia’s wildlife and the work being done to preserve it.
